How can Acupuncture help me?

Acupuncture is a holistic treatment which aims to treat the patient’s mind and emotions as well as body, supporting a full variety of acute and chronic conditions.

Acupuncture can help you feel better in yourself, which in turn can have an affect on how you cope with the challenges of everyday life.  It promotes a sense of well-being and taking time out for ourselves in our busy lives.

The first book I read about acupuncture was The Acupuncture Handbook by Angela Hicks.  I remember her saying in this book, that when she is asked what acupuncture can help, she says that it is difficult to say what acupuncture can’t help!

A lot of people choose to have acupuncture for various aches and pains.  Others continue to have treatment due to its relaxing effect, a lot of my patients report having improved sleep, clarity of thought and more energy following treatment!

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has an official list of diseases and disorders that can be treated with acupuncture and where acupuncture has been proved to be an effective treatment.  Acupuncture has been shown to be therapeutic in many more conditions according to WHO.
